The country was in ebullient mood last weekend. The early lifting of restrictions saw many people head out for a pint, meet up with friends, book a bigger wedding or plan a few long-awaited trips abroad.

Then more good news arrived when the Central Bank forecasted that the economy will perform very strongly for the next three years. The boom was back.
