Replacing system will be costly and burdensome - but also vital

Post-Brexit, free movement of people within the European Union will take on a wholly different complexion.

These islands will have to grapple with particular Brexit fall outs in relation to the Border and the Good Friday Agreement.

Despite the common travel area, which is in place between the Republic and Northern Ireland (and Britain), movement around the island for trade, finance, employment will be different.
