He said, "My brain is fried". That's how a friend put it recently, after spending hours trying to work out what health insurance he should buy, at a rate that he could afford. Many people know how he feels.

Last week, Minister for Health Leo Varadkar claimed that, "There is now a lot of good value in the market. There are health insurance policies for less than €500". Yes, but what do people get for €500, Minister? Not enough. And what about the catches?
