Before my wife and I had really considered school places for our three girls, a priest had advised us not to worry. "They'll be educated somewhere," he said.

When the time came, applications were made to three - two Catholic, both of which sought baptism certs, and one multi-denominational. All three responded with offers.

So we were left with a choice that many parents don't have. Where to send?
