Now's the time to start caring about disability

In all the talk about how much money that Lucinda Creighton and the rest of Reboot Ireland will need to turn their soft launch into a real political party, there has been blessed little discussion of the manpower and foot soldiers they will require. Looking over the four key points of the call to involvement on their website, however, you'd be hard pressed to understand just who they are asking to get involved.

Perhaps in an effort to take attention away from a perception that they will be all about issues of social conscience - which is to say abortion - there is an absence of human interest in their mission statement. 'Where is the heart?' you might ask.

If Lucinda and her allies want to motivate people to literally get out and go to front doors and make the public care about them, then they need to show some heart.
