There’s an apocryphal story about George Best being asked how he ended up broke despite earning a fortune.

“Half it I spent on wine, woman and gambling,” he allegedly replied. “The other half, I squandered.”

The story comes to mind because of the curious tale of Irish actor Devon Murray, who lost a High Court case last week against his former agent, Neil Brooks.
