Leo or Simon for Taoiseach? How about 'none of the above'
Does it really matter whether Tweedledum or Tweedledee becomes the next leader of Fine Gael
Argentinian writer Jorge Luis Borges famously compared the Falklands War to two bald men fighting over a comb.
The Fine Gael leadership contest is starting to look a bit like that, too, though it might be unfair to petty, folliclly challenged gentlemen everywhere to admit as much.
And to be fair, the leadership of one of the country's oldest, most venerable political parties is not a worthless trifle, certainly not when it comes with the main prize of becoming Taoiseach, too.
