It wasn't just our climate that brought tech giant to the West
So is it really the 'temperate' climate that induced Apple to choose Galway for a giant €850m data centre? Or is it a quid pro quo on tax?
Could it be a legal move to protect users' data from an increasingly heavy-handed US government?
Or is it simply that Apple is spending some of its €155bn cash pile, as it cannot repatriate much of it to the US without incurring a substantial tax bill?
