I was waiting for the “re-opening in doubt” headlines, and sure enough, they arrived right on schedule this week. It’s par for the course under the Government’s pandemic policy of “Keep lockdown going until we need another lockdown”.

The “negative turn” of Covid, as the Taoiseach put it, also gives Nphet a convenient excuse to extend the Covid pass, which is what the National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) wants to do anyway.
