Tax cuts for small firms the perfect place to start
MICHAEL Noonan wants to cut taxes, but who should benefit? The millionaires who make jobs? The hard-pressed workers who make up the bulk of society? Or the poor, who are trying to feed their children on minimum wage?
There are good arguments for all three groups, but it is clear that it will be a long time before the country's finances will be healthy enough to help all three. Choices must be made.
