The Central Bank must explain why gardai not called in for Anglo Tapes

Ireland's Central Bank should explain the reasoning behind its decision not to ask An Garda Siochana to investigate the actions of former Anglo Irish Bank officials who came to public attention via the Anglo Tapes.

In this case, the interests of this bank wound up helping to push the country it was resident in towards national insolvency.

It is clear that several of those who featured on the tapes, like David Drumm and John Bowe, were were not being fully honest with the Central Bank.
