Brady supreme as Manning fails to stay the distance for Broncos
It was 5.30 on Monday morning and it was worth it. It had lived up to the hype. The New England Patriots had somehow rallied from 24-0 down at half-time to claim victory over the Denver Broncos.
For the uninitiated, that might not sound particularly noteworthy, so let me sell it the way NBC marketed the game. This was Tom Brady (below) coming back from 24-0 to beat Peyton Manning in overtime in 'Manning v Brady XIV.'
The two most famous quarterbacks of their generation faced off for the 14th time, with Brady coming out on top for the 10th time. He's also won three Super Bowls to Manning's one.
