Telling truth is first step towards justice for the Disappeared

And so the fumbling, tentative attempts to make sense of those decades of violence in the North begin. Fumbling, because agreeing a narrative is a formidable task. Tentative, because peace is a fragile organism.

Perhaps the best that can be hoped for is an explanation of sorts about various episodes within the Troubles, with some atonement where possible.

How can reparation be made for killing other human beings? By telling the truth about what happened – that's a start.
