Booze tends to get a bad name at times. And when it comes to Christmas time, we are inundated with dire warnings about the dangers of excessive drinking and, in particular, office parties.
I should know -- I used to pick up a few extra quid every year writing a feature about these perils, but that was back when there actually was a few extra quid to be picked up and, as we all know, those days are gone.
But many of the quasi-prohibitionists who see drink as the fount of all evil make about as much sense as saying that all cars should be banned because they are used by boy-racers.
