Ian O'Doherty: We've nothing in common, but that doesn't mean I can't like Norris
Well, that didn't take long, did it? The official race for the Áras hasn't even started yet and already we're embroiled in the first scandal to hit a candidate.
And, surprise, surprise, the first victim of a political hit is David Norris, Ireland's most famous gay man and someone who is the walking, talking equivalent of Marmite -- people either love him or hate him.
And it would appear that former restaurant critic Helen Lucy Burke, a journalist who now epitomises the phrase 'forgotten but not gone', falls into the latter category.
