Honestly? Are you really surprised?

Former Labour TD Brendan Halligan is the head of the state body the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and, I'm sure you'll all agree, he's doing a fine job (of course, the most sustainable energy of all is nuclear power but that's never going to happen here).

But if building a few wind farms and a couple of solar boondoggles helps us feel better about our carbon footprint, or whatever it's called this week, so be it, we'll just have to put up with it

So there are no problems with Mr Halligan on that score.
