'The clock is ticking' - but there is still time for UK to row back from its gamble and pending nightmare
It's as soft as a marshmallow - and getting softer by the day.
That just might be one way to describe the current state of the much wished for 'hard Brexit', so beloved of those who wish to sever completely the umbilical cord that still binds the UK to the EU.
It's been another dismal week for hardline Brexiteers across the Irish Sea, with a shambolic prime minister, at one point, making a plaintive and futile cry for help to the leader of the opposition. But there will be no agreed political approach on this of all issues - and the British government remains in a state of chassis.
