Kenny gambles the public won't care about standards
The McNulty saga became a symbol in FG of what's wrong with Kenny's leadership style,

However, the veteran Kildare North TD pretty much cut to the chase with his summation of the Seanad cronyism debacle currently engulfing Fine Gael.
"Not only did we take a stick to beat ourselves. But we took the chainsaw to the branches of a healthy tree to cut off the sticks to beat ourselves," he told his colleagues at Wednesday's night's parliamentary party meeting.
