David Robbins: There's nothing so seductive as eyeing the lives of others

But for some residual resentment about the French still being in the Rugby World Cup and us being out of it, I would have been first in the queue this week to see around the French Ambassador's house in Dublin.

I just couldn't trust myself not to deck one or two of the smug cultural attachés, you see, and then where would I have been?

The Résidence de France was open to the public for one day only as part of the Open House Dublin event organised by the Irish Architecture Foundation.
