When Mathieu Bastareaud hits, the continental shelf moves another millimetre away from wherever it was going in the first place.

Last year when we beat France in Paris, Jonathan Sexton was celebrating our epic Six Nations triumph with a Panadol in his hotel room after a high tackle from the burly Monsieur Bastareaud.

Hold on one minute, who's that ringing? Only the postman. He's here with a wheelbarrow full of Valentine cards. Ah but there was a time when he used to carry the cards in the trailer used for bringing home the turf. So happy St Valentine's Day to all of you.
