Clare Cullen: Why are there not as many women at the Reform Alliance Conference?

Olivia O'Leary opened her speech at the Reform Alliance Conference by asking why she did not see more female faces, a question that could be asked at any political event.

For years, the few influential women in power have been questioning why there are not more of them. It's a question that has never been answered, nor any major steps taken to appease it.

My opinion is that there are not more women at the Reform Alliance Conference because they know it's a fools errand, and there are not more women engaging in politics because they are disenchanted and disheartened with the whole system.
