Uproar as Taoiseach is accused of slobbering over 'war criminal'
THE thought of the entire Cabinet slobbering is not a pleasant one. But slobbering while wearing gaudy hats they bought in a Carroll's gift store, and then festooned with their own stars-and-stripes flags, does not even bear thinking about.
Maybe some of them have been in similar headwear before, seeing as many go to America for St Patrick's Day.
Even so, Independent TD Clare Daly sparked a ding-dong in the Dail with Enda Kenny – or perhaps a spitball contest in this case – when she criticised the "sycophantic fawning" and "unprecedented slobbering" over US President Barack Obama and his family this week.
