Correspondence between Ryanair and the IDA, writes Ronald Quinlan, held some promise

WRITTEN communications between Michael O'Leary and the IDA's executive Barry O'Leary began on March 3, 2009 and ended on September 24 last. A total of nine letters were sent during this period.

An examination of this correspondence reveals among other things, the following:

• Ryanair gave repeated written assurances that Hangar 6 would be used as a maintenance facility only.
