Thomas Molloy: Ingrained sense of victimhood only clouds the issues we face

ECB president Jean-Claude Trichet has extended a helping rather than a grabbing hand to this country.

REFLECTING earlier this month on the financial crisis, former British prime minister Gordon Brown admitted to one mistake: his failure to recognise just how interdependent the world's financial system has become.

If one of the world's most experienced politicians fails to understand just how connected we are, it is understandable that ordinary citizens forget that truth from time to time.
