There's nothing charming about a drunken mob of football fans

Many Irish who travelled to the Euros gave a prime example of our nation's problems with drink, writes Eilis O'Hanlon

Not everything in continental Europe is necessarily better than it is at home. It's only cultural insecurity which makes us feel that way sometimes.

All the same, having just returned from a short trip to Lisbon, I couldn't help but be struck by how many old people there were out and about enjoying the city centre each evening.
