The Tikker -- a reminder that life is short
A 'happiness watch' sounds like my sort of timepiece. That's how a new watch called the Tikker is being dubbed by its inventor, Fredrik Colting. But this so-called happiness watch is actually a timer that counts down the hours, minutes and seconds to when you are going to die.
Colting claims knowing when you are going to die will make you happier as you will be inspired to live the kind of life you really want to live.
We all know we're going to die, so that should be motivation enough. But life, famously, gets in the way. Jobs, kids, bills, mortgages and responsibilities all take over and somehow that ambition to learn Spanish gets elbowed aside and the resolution to join a running club moves down the list, and the next time you come up for air, 10 years might have passed.
