THE NEXT generation of al-Qa'ida commanders will be considerably more brutal than Osama bin Laden, according to intelligence experts.
Senior al-Qa'ida leaders confirmed Bin Laden's death last week but their statement made no mention of who might succeed him. Egyptian-born Ayman al-Zawahiri, al-Qa'ida's number two, is almost certain to oversee the immediate power vacuum.
