Sex, wealth, death - and an awful grief

They shared their grief with him, they provided solace, and they even took him in when his home was requisitioned by the gardai as a crime scene.

It was in his brother-in-law's house that Eamonn Lillis was roused from his bed at dawn by gardai and arrested, the day before his wife's funeral.

Quite what the Cawley family thought now of Mr Lillis as they sat across from him, on trial for the murder of their beloved Celine, was impossible to even begin to imagine.
