Screams that still resonate in this deathly quiet bar

The lounge bar of Faussagh House should be an unlikely setting for a violent gangland hit. The pub, in Cabra on the northside of Dublin, is typical of a lot of bars in semi-suburban, working-class areas of this country.
Visiting it on a quiet night this week, seeing three or four regulars sip pints before the Champions League came on the big-screen TV, it was hard to square the non-descript scene with the brutal assassination that occurred a few nights earlier.
It's dark and quiet, the walls have tacked-up, handmade posters advertising upcoming gigs by pub bands like Sidewinder and Uptown Boys.
