THE horse-drawn hearse bearing his coffin on its final journey this morning would have tickled Alex Higgins's sense of pomp and mischief.

Nobody would have enjoyed the fuss about the gee-gees more than the man whose graveyard humour lightened many a dark day in Belfast.
