Ronald Quinlan: Man with all the answers won't talk despite being driven to distraction
Elaine Byrne tried a face-to-face meeting with Michael Lowry to solve £250,000 payment mystery.
SHE'S been calling him, texting him, facebooking him and writing to him for three weeks now in an effort to get to the bottom of the £250,000 payment he says his refrigeration company, Garuda, made to Kevin Phelan in 2002.
Indeed, with all the effing and blinding he did about it in his colourful phone call with the Northern Ireland-based land agent, you would think Tipperary TD Michael Lowry would be keen as mustard to explain himself to Elaine Byrne.
It was Ms Byrne after all who first brought the tape of that potentially explosive phone call to the Sunday Independent, which pressed ahead with the publication of its contents prompting the Criminal Assets Bureau to look afresh at matters relating to the Moriarty tribunal's final report.
