Reilly's decision on hospital will define his future

AFTER a torrid few weeks, Dr James Reilly is now facing into a period in which he will make one of the biggest decisions during his tenure in the Department of Health.

The saga of the new national children's hospital is nearing its end, with Dr Reilly due to meet Enda Kenny and Eamon Gilmore in the next few weeks (there is still no firm date) to discuss its location.

It is no exaggeration to say how he handles this decision could decide how long or short that tenure will be.
