Redemption beckons for Fianna Fail - if it can help us win back some dignity

There is a very big gap in the political market right now. So many people are fed up with a timid Government and an ineffective Opposition that they would welcome the establishment of a new party.
The bad news is that starting a new political party is very, very difficult. The Irish Times poll last week suggests a more realistic answer might be closer to hand. Fianna Fail is definitely not a new party -- but it could be. It could be New Fianna Fail. It could be reborn. But for this to happen there will have to be mighty changes.
