POLITICIANS at Westminster have been bombarded in recent weeks by a wave of fake messages on Twitter and other internet sites. But the people who are inventing the fictional scams and phishing ploys are finding it hard to keep up with what's being generated in real life.
A few months ago, everyone would have dismissed as crazy the idea that the chancellor, Alistair Darling, would say that 10 Downing Street had "unleashed the forces of hell" upon him or that there would be headlines proclaiming that Gordon Brown will still be prime minister after the forthcoming general election.
