Publisher between rock and hard place
THERE but for the grace of God go any of us. That was the comment of one Irish publisher on the difficult situation Liberties Press finds itself in over 'When We Dance'.
Liberties Press, which has been in business since 2003 and specialises in non-fiction titles, refused to comment yesterday, but indicated that its future is not in jeopardy and that it remains confident of winning the court battle and being able to publish the book. Even so, the costs involved are daunting.
The publisher refused to reveal how many copies of Ms Verwoerd's book have been printed, but it is unlikely to be much less than 10,000.
