Poor diet will lead to longer hospital stays
IT IS well known that our population is in something of a nutritional crisis.
Malnutrition is a term to describe bad diet and a large percentage of our population fall under this description – calorie rich, but nutrient poor.
We know that, as a nation, we consume too much saturated fat, salt and added sugars. And on the flip side, our vitamin and mineral intakes are below recommended levels.
