Paidi, from hero to zero in two words
While GAA peers acknowledge the pressure on O Se, opinion in Kerry is divided, finds Jerome Reilly
PAIDI O Se, one of Kerry's greatest GAA heroes, was last night trying to return from a team trip to South Africa on the earliest possible flight as the furore over his remarks about Kerry supporters made in the Sunday Independent continues to divide the Kingdom.
Paidi remains under severe pressure to remain as manager after his reference to Kerry fans as "the roughest kind of f**king animals you'll ever deal with" in an interview with Kevin Kimmage. O Se added the rider "and you can print that", thus provoking the biggest row in Kerry GAA for two decades.
