One rule for the average workers at Rehab and another for its executives
Rehab did not want to come before the Public Accounts Committee yesterday.
That much was clear even before the meeting began. Their legal representative 'advised' committee members not to stray into questions which Angela Kerins, Group CEO, would "not be in a position to answer".
Specific witnesses invited by the committee were no-shows, as Rehab asserted its authority to decide who the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) would get to question. In other words they wanted to decide what questions would be asked and who would be asked. It wasn't the best start to a meeting which proved to be long, at times tetchy and trying throughout.
