Now we must dodge bullets of eejitry
Paddy is never too far away from making the sort of historical error we can never take back, writes Declan Lynch
MY friends, we have dodged a fair few bullets in recent times.
And the people shooting at us have not necessarily been our enemies in Europe or our opponents on the park. During the presidential race, for example, Paddy himself was loading the gun and pointing it straight at his own head and somehow it all worked out fine.
As I explained on the Sunday before the election, Michael D was the outstanding candidate by a thousand miles, and it should have been no contest from the start, and yet early doors we got the notion into our heads that we night want to elect Martin McGuinness instead.
