Mums-to-be are vulnerable enough without adding to their anxieties

THE final days of your pregnancy are filled with enough discomfort, unease and dread without having to be concerned about where you're going to give birth.

For NAMA to suddenly call time on a maternity hospital that will have hundreds of expectant mums on its books is extremely concerning.

The knock-on effect on the other hospitals that they'll be transferred to, not to mention the emotional toll it will take on the women, is significant.
