Leinster House denizens having a fag in the building's outdoor smoking area were well-nigh lifted out of it by a spot of synchronised shouting wafting through an open window of a meeting room last week.

It seems it all kicked off during a meeting of the Independent Wing of the Dail's Technical Group, when the matter of changing the gang's designated speakers was raised.
