Lise Hand: Jolly Gerry's first out of traps but silent on new signing
IT was all go in the Carlingford Adventure Centre in the heart of the pretty Co Louth town yesterday.
The place was buzzing with action men and women – some sporting camouflage fatigues – bustling from one activity to the next, including scaling High Ropes, doing a spot of Laser Combat, and even trying out Zorbing, which involves being strapped into a giant plastic ball and then rolled down a hill.
And the Sinn Fein TDs and senators were in the thick of it all. Alas, the nation was deprived of the fascinating spectacle of Gerry Adams tumbling pell-mell down a slope inside a massive roundy yoke.
