Lise Hand: All-out sulk by public service is a phoney war -- so far
It appeared to be business as usual both inside and outside St Vincent's Hospital yesterday morning. There were no nurses or administrative workers manning picket lines, and one woman emerging from the building after her regular hospital appointment wasn't even aware that the public sector were holding a protest yesterday.
"I didn't notice anything different," she said. "If anything, I was in and out a bit quicker than usual."
In the city centre, there was no immediate, visible evidence that there was anything amiss with the public sector.
