Let's not confuse facts on crucial poll
THE effect of Bruce Arnold's article earlier this week was to mislead and confuse people on the Children's Referendum.
It is regrettable that the article reflects a lack of understanding and awareness when it comes to the real challenges faced by vulnerable children in Ireland today. After 17 reports into issues around child neglect and child abuse over a period of two decades, we now have a chance to take positive action to protect children and to support families.
Mr Arnold makes a range of statements which act to distort the purpose of this referendum and the legal impact it will have on protecting children and supporting families.
