Keane's story reads like the plot of a movie
Eamon Keane has proved himself as a presenter, journalist, writer and pianist in his own right, but the family name precedes him, writes Willie Kealy
Father a brilliant actor, mother a beautiful and talented pianist and uncle one of the country's foremost playwrights -- it was inevitable that Eamon Keane would be a performer. After just nine months broadcasting, his Lunchtime programme has won Best News Programme at the PPI awards. As well as presenting on Newstalk, journalist, writer and pianist Eamon is preparing his band for gigs and is also completing an essay for a new book.
The Keane story is like something out of a movie.
"My mother was a student in UCC, a really good actress who had no shortage of admirers, including former Labour party leader Micheal O'Leary. Anyway, it's all down to my uncle John B Keane.
