John Downing: Labour exposed but landmines will maim both coalition parties
THE Government's own advance billing was "tough but fair". With €3.5 billion to be taken out, the 'tough' element was never in the remotest doubt. The 'fair' part was, for a brief time, up for grabs.
But let's cut to the chase: Budget 2013 is not fair and, when you think about it, never could have been fair. This Budget is largely dishonest and about the Government getting money where they can.
Now the bogus election promises of both coalition parties have finally been exposed, leaving Labour by the far the more vulnerable of the two.
