James Downey: FG won't fold on rebels – but they'll be back in fold by June
If it looks like a new party and sounds like a new party, there's a good chance that it contains within it at least the seeds of a new party.
And the title chosen by the seven Fine Gael rebels – five deputies and two senators – makes the group sound very like a political party. The Reform Alliance has a nice ring to it.
But the rebels are not even half-way there. In the first place, they don't want to turn the alliance into a new party. They want to return to the Fine Gael tent.
