It is Dublin's trophy address and living there is the surest sign that you have achieved wealth, status and success.

But a vague feeling of unease has started to pervade Shrewsbury Road in Ballsbridge, with its splendid Edwardian mansions set in magnificently spacious and mature grounds. The well-heeled natives are getting a little anxious. They fear the character of this prestigious enclave of exclusivity is under threat.
