When you think of all the qualities parents look for in the perfect child-minder, what springs to mind? Kindness? Patience? Plummy BBC-style accent?

Donegal woman Grainne Boyle has just revealed how she was refused work as a nanny because of her 'Oirish' accent.

The former Rose of Tralee finalist, from Gartan, applied to mind the ankle-biters of rich Russian families through a London jobs agency.
