'I have the fullest faith in Brian Cowen'
GAA legend Paidi O Se talks to Aengus Fanning about how he is not ruling out a move into politics, and why he believes the Taoiseach has been given a 'very, very bad time by the media'
PAIDI O Se's remarkable achievements as a footballer and manager are a matter of record. But, now that he has retired from both models of the sporting life, his ambitions, at 54, clearly lie in national politics.
His belief in Fianna Fail is held with religious fervour. He maintains that Brian Cowen is a "magnificent leader" and that he has the "fullest of faith in him".
And he makes no apologies for his conviction that Charles Haughey was a great Taoiseach and an unfairly maligned person. He is also unstinting in his admiration for Brian Cowen's immediate predecessor, Bertie Ahern.
